Could Nate Diaz be the ultimate kryptonite for the “Notorious” one? We shall see this weekend.
One of the things which I thought about as I watched both the old UFC 196 Embedded and all the new UFC 202 videos is that if it wasn’t for Nate Diaz, McGregor could’ve been a double belt holder.
Don’t get me wrong. He still can. But what I’m getting at is that I sincerely believe he has what it takes to beat the top 10 of the Light Heavyweight Division like Rafael Dos Anos and Donald Cerrone.
But, Nate Diaz, who is currently number 4 in the rankings, may just be the worst match up for Conor McGregor. Trash talk, durability, experience, boxing, and Jiu-Jitsu. Diaz seems to have everything that Conor’s past opponents have lacked in one area or another.
Now that both sides have had time to adequately prepare for one another, will we see a different kind of fight? Many people have the match winning for Nate, but many have doubted McGregor in the past only to be surprised.
